Charo's cousin, Encarnación, has been brutally murdered in Barcelona. What was she doing there? Why was she killed? To get to the bottom of it, Encarnación's family hire the services of Detective Carvalho, who discovers that Encarnación made regular visits to Barcelona, unbeknownst to her husband and family, to meet Ginés, a past love who is now enlisted in the merchant navy.
