Psychiatrist turned bestselling writer, Kevin Khoury, finds himself obliged to practise again in order to treat a girl called Jane in Barcelona. As Kevin proceeds in his analysis of her case, he discovers, with the help of a policeman, that Jane's multiple personalities match those of girls who have gone missing in the vicinity over the years. An investigation is mounted that will force Khoury to relive his past in Barcelona, to the point of discovering that his ex-wife is dead. The search for the girls' murderer and the reason behind it all has a final twist which brings the story to a totally unexpected end.
