Ana, with thirty rough years behind her and a 2-month-old daughter, lives under the constant menace of her husband, Jero, who has been in jail for domestic violence. Ana knows Jero will soon be released and that his sole objective will be for her to pay for his humiliation... and then the day of his release arrives.
Ana takes what she can from her house and hits the road, not knowing where to go, or when she'll be able to stop running. She finally decides to go back to her hometown, where she meets Federico, a 50-year-old man who offers her a job and a place to stay. Things begin to evolve from friendliness to something more. But Jero's presence cannot be avoided and both will have to learn how to live without fear.
