Carmen, accused of murdering a teenage girl, is released on probation two years into her sentence, thanks to her lawyer’s appeal to the Supreme Court. From the moment of her arrest to her trial and sentencing, the media has given full coverage to Carmen’s private life, playing up her sexual preferences, which were decisive in her lynching and condemnation by the public. Yet Carmen has always declared her innocence. Now she’s back home, out of work, abandoned by her family and friends, in the firing line on the media, and the involuntary protagonist of gossip shows, Carmen is harassed by the real murderer of the girl. But no-one is willing to believe her.
