Synopsis
''The Forgotten City'' is a film about the everyday life in Barcelona around the 1700’s. The work aims to exploit the knowledge on the book ''La ciutat del Born'' (which contains an enormous amount of documentary and archive material recovered and analyzed by Albert Garcia Espuche). Thanks to this information we are able to recreate, with extreme detail the most significant and the most intimate side of Barcelona daily life of that period and, at the same time, to connect it with global history, with History written in capital letters: the decisive historic moment for the city and the country as part of the War of the Spanish Succession.
