The story of Alicia, a high school teacher in her early forties who lives with her teenage daughter and leads a perfectly normal, uneventful life, beneath which she hides a painful lack of love. Her love life's a disaster and the relationships she does manage to establish via internet chats invariably come to an unsatisfactory end, sometimes even unpleasant.
When she finally gets to know a man with whom it seems she could establish a calm, stable and enriching relationship, fate will already have woven a perverse plot that will put everything in jeopardy.
