The story is based on the childhood and first artistic steps of a singer and dancer in Spain in the 1930s and 1940s: her relationship with a famous star who becomes both her artistic and romantic partner, the realisation of her own worth and the moment when she spreads her wings on her own. Then, in the 1950s, the protagonist who is now a star returns triumphantly from a tour of America. Free and without any commitments, men fall at her feet and she enjoys this attention without committing to anyone...
