This story could be told from the perspective of an old parrot called ''Perroquet'', who flies over the small town of Port-Vendres, marked by the continuous rhythm of the trains crossing the French-Spanish border where a large part of the story takes place. It could also be told through the experiences of Gerard, a young Catalan on his way to another destination, or of Sophie, who works for the SNCF and is forever coming and going. The tale could also be told by Yann, owner of the village bar, or by Jean-Claude, the local policeman, who is in love with Maria. A medley of characters who captivate us with their simplicity, showing the enchantment of the day-to-day which is so well captured by the director.
