The protests of European citizens against the opening of Muslim mosques in their neighbourhoods marks a stark conflict which is being repeated throughout Spain and Europe today. This report analyzes one such clash which took place in the city of Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona) during the celebration of Ramadan, the sacred month of Islam.
