Who was Cristòr Colom? What do we know about his live and his origins? The most divulgated version is that Colom was a Wool merchant, without politic, military or fiscal studies. He was nominated by the Catholic Kings, with the accpetation of the cort and the conformity of the laws and the institutions: viceroy, admiral, gobernator and general capitan of the new world. But, is possible that an estranger, plebian and illiterate would recive the nobiliary titles, only reservated to the members of the real house?
