Synopsis
Dying Awake writes the hidden history from the Spanish Transition up until now through one of its hidden sides: heroine. Diferent caracthers intertwine and draw, from images in their personal archives and their most intimate words, the challenges of a chosen life marked by addiction. Looking at it frontally, like recognising death arriving while being awake, allows us to understand that our relationship with the world, here and now, is also made of the traces left by those who preceeded us.
