Since the beginning of time, man has shepherded his flocks in keeping with the seasonal cadence of nature. The nomadic shepherd has become a part of our collective consciousness. Joan Pipa may be the last in the line of a tradition that dates back thousands of years. We accompany him on his last nomadic journey through the Catalan Pyrenees, delving into the past and the present of a man who loves his way of life.

The gradual abandonment of rural life, the proliferation of new infrastructures and the climate change are drawing the curtains on this dream and leading us into an uncertain future. Is the disappearance of nomadic ways of life a sign of progress or does it represent the death of our civilization?
